Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
My experience happened twice and happened in the Capital City of Yellowknife. N.W.T. Canada.
The name of the Hotel is Yellowknife Inn (now it's called "Quality Inn & Suites") Happened this year and last year in March 2015 and 2016, I booked a room at the Yellowknife INN for one day only since I have a flight home on the next day and they put me in Room 300. (this is my story)
~Time: 1:37pm~The Pain!!
That day (March 2016) I pulled my muscle on my rib cage and it hurt like hell, every time I move an inch a shock wave or electric feeling goes through my entire body...not even aspirin couldn't help...don't worry, I did go to the ER and waited for 5 hours. As I couldn't do it no more just waiting and waiting with the pain slowly decreasing, I told the nurse at the ER desk that I'm leaving and it's taking forever. This is what she said, "But sir, if you leave...you will lose your spot in line. Plus we only have ONE doctor available and less nurse on staff. Are you sure?" and I stood their holding my side ribs and said with a sarcastic voice, "YEAH, better be here than at the movies....just till me what to get at the Shoppers Drug-mart for the pain?" and she did actually rolled her eyes, "Fine, sign here since your going and buy some Motrin and drinking lots of water." I left the ER....(30mins later) I'm finally resting on the bed in my hotel, had bottle of water and took one Motrin which was 500MG and watched some tv shows...most channels didn't work so it was getting worse for me....slowly I dose off.
Time:11:51pm - What was that?
~Suddenly I woke up to a noise from the washroom and also notice the TV was off...(thinking* "did I turn off the television? what was that noise in the bathroom?") and I grab the remote and turned on the TV, looking around the dark room and only light I had on was the TV.
Using the TV remote I put the volumd on mute, slowly I moved off the bed and made my way to the washroom to see the sink tap water on. Also found the soup on the floor near the tub. I sensed that I was not alone in the room but since I couldn't care less with this pain on my left side rib, I lay back on the bed.
Time: 2:17AM - No Way!
It was getting late and had trouble sleeping, this pain is unbearable. One move and it hurts or even a cough it hurts. I turned down the volume on the tv and switched off the lamb that was next to me on the night stand. Laying on my right side felt okay and I tried to sleep and thinking about my hometown and my family.
Suddenly I started to feel like someone was standing at the end of my foot bed, then I felt like someone was setting near my feet. At the end of the bed, I can feel the dint slowly being pressed in...my heart was pounding fast and begin to breath faster. Getting really nervous I didn't want to look but I did, no one was there and the TV was off again. The room was dark but I can still see the outline of the furniture's in the room, I slowly moved my feet away at the end of the bed where the dint was and then suddenly the dint was not there anymore. I turned on the lamb light as quick as I could and my ribs hurting like a shark bit you on the side...no one was in the room. "NO WAY! What the heck was that?" and I can see the dint imprint where my feet was and that freaked me out. Grab the phone and dialed "0" for the front desk.
Lady: "Front desk, may I help you?"
Me: "Yes! This is room 300, is there any chance I can change my room to a lower level???"
Lady: "I'm sorry but we are completely booked today, there isn't any more rooms left."
Me: "Can you please check?"
Lady: "Okay, please hold."
(Puts me on hold with cheap music on) During this time, I kept looking around the room and feeling uneasy. Grab the remote and turned back on the TV and put the volume on mute.
Lady: "Hello?"
Me: 'Yes..."
Lady: "I'm sorry but there's no rooms open at this time, we are completed book today. Is everything okay with your room???"
~(I didn't want to tell her what I just experience in my room, she might think I'm crazy.)~
Me: "Everything is okay, just a little cold and my thermostat is not working very will and I just recent injured my side ribs and was hoping I can stay on the lower level so that way it would be easier."
Lady: "I'm sorry to hear that sir, we will send up a maintenance man up in a few minutes to fix that problem and tomorrow morning we can send up the security to help with your bags if you need it?"
Me: "It's okay, no need to do all that."
Lady: "Okay sir, if you need anything else please just call the front desk, have a nice night sir"
Me: "Sure...good night, bye."
GREAT! now what? do I leave the hotel and book someone else? I already spend $440 just for one night. So I just had to deal what ever this is, so I left on the lamb and TV and tried again to sleep.
Time: 4:32AM - Now What?
Woke up to someone screaming across the hall or down the hall, only made out a few words, "Who are you!? Get Out!" I moved slowly off the bed and made my way to the door and looked though the peephole and didn't see anyone, nervous as I was. I didn't want to open the door so instead I but the chain lock on. Then I made my way back to the bed with dark room and layed back on the bed and called the front desk.
Lady: "Front desk, may I help you?"
Me: "Yes, this is room 300 again...someone is screaming down the hall in one of the rooms."
Lady: "Are you sure sir? we didn't get any phone calls on your level."
Me: "Yes! a lady shouted distress...and." got interrupted
Lady: "Sir, can you please hold?"
Me: "Sure..."
As I waited on the phone, I looked around and again without noticing my room was dark. TV was off and even the lamb light was off, only thing I see is the red light from the room phone.
Lady: "Hello sir?"
Me: "Ummm, yeah."
Lady: "Yes, we did get a few calls from your floor. Don't worry we send 2 security guards to check which room it was coming from."
Me: "Okay, thanks."
Lady: "Is that all sir?"
Me: "Yes, that scream just woke me up and feeling uneasy from that."
Lady: "I'm sorry to hear that sir, please if you need anything else. just give us a ring to the front desk and have a nice night."
(she hangs up first)
Without saying goodbye or good night, okay. LOL. Anyways, I turned back on the TV and the lamb once again and this time...I stayed up until the morning dawn.
Time: 10:45AM - Check out time.
Nothing happened since then and I was soo tired, felt like the worse vacation with the pulled muscle on my rib cage just a day from going home. I had to checkout before 11am. My bag was heavy and I had to drag it but lucky I had small wheels on my bag. LOL. As I walked slowly pass the house keepers, I heard them say "...no one was in the room but people called downstairs..." and couldn't make out that last few words they said. As I was waiting for the elevator to come to the 3rd floor, all I could think about that feeling that someone was standing at the end of my bed and setting beside my feet. (DING!)
ME: "S??T! scared me"
Made my way inside and hit to the lobby floor.
Different lady at the front desk, "Morning, checking out?"
Me: "Yes, here's my room key."
2nd-lady: "Did you like your room? was it conformable?"
(I had to tell her even if it's not the same lady from yesterday night.)
Me: "To be honest, no...the room was cold, the thermostat was not working well. My washroom sink tab keeps turning on by it self, the TV shouts off by itself and including the lamb light. Felt like someone was in the room with me but wasn't...then to top off that, some lady down the hall was screaming for help in distress."
2nd-lady looked at me with surprised look on her face, like a deer caught in the head lights.
2nd-lady: "Sir, your not the first person to mention that. We had a couple here said the something what you said but this time they say a man standing near the window and looked like old timers clothes and a miners hat."
So the next time you check-in the hotel and if you are curious of staying in the room with paranormal activities...I suggest you stay on the 3rd level, room 300 or close to it. And if your wondering about the lady calling for help in distress...will, let's say "NO ONE WAS IN THE ROOM!" it was empty and lucky for me...the lady said all rooms are booked for the night. Please come back soon. :D
